Aerospace designers routinely specify dry carbon fiber braided preforms for stiffening curved surfaces in aircraft. Bally Ribbon Mills has developed high-precision braiding technology that employs a wide range of other fibers and hybrids.

We braid these fibers into lightweight, high strength preforms that conform precisely to the curvature of any shape available in your choice of collapsed or assembled, biaxial or triaxial tubes.

For complex shaped preforms, our Advanced Products Group has developed the process of mandrel over-braiding.
